| Union Street 2011 |
Union Street first came into being in 2009 when six musicians from Tampere decided to join their forces and start up a band with its roots firmly in 2-tone ska. Rehearsals kicked off, and the first gig took place in December 2009 at Vastavirta, Tampere. First EP “This is…” was released in 2010. After this the band spent a couple of years gigging steadily around Finland (and also mini-touring the Baltic countries), making music, recording some demos, and having fun.
In 2012 it was time for some line-up changes, as life took some of the members to other directions. New people came in to continue the good work, and here they are now: Noora, Antti, Kukka, Petri, Pete, and Arttu, a.k.a Union Street 2013! Ready to shake your soul, let the rhythm flow, and make you dance again!
